On July 23, 2015, eighteen undergraduate university scientists from across the country will present results of their recent summer studies at a special Summer Intern Symposium. This symposium at the NOAA Inouye Regional Center (IRC) Auditorium on Ford Island involves summer interns from the NOAA Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC) Young Scientist Opportunity Program, as well as interns from the NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program, the NOAA Educational Partnership Program (EPP) Undergraduate Scholarship Program, the NOAA National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) Scholarship Program and other students involved in scientific research at PIFSC and other NOAA line offices at IRC. The event is co-sponsored by the Joint Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and the NOAA PIFSC.
