Coral Reef Ecosystem Monitoring Report for American Samoa Issued

The final report describing Pacific Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (RAMP) expeditions to American Samoa in 2002, 2004, and 2006 was recently issued. The report describes work of scientists in the PIFSC Coral Reef Ecosystem Division and partner organizations who collected extensive information on coral reef biological communities and habitats throughout the American Samoa Archipelago. Release of the report was announced by the NOAA Administrator, Vice Admiral Conrad Lautenbacher, at the 11th International Coral Reef Symposium in Florida in July 2008. The report is available at:
