About the Symposium

The focus of this two-day symposium is to provide a forum for scientists and managers to present and discuss historical and ongoing research based on selected session topics.

The symposium venue and hotel is the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. We have reserved a block of rooms at a special rate under "Kona IEA Symposium". Be sure to reserve your rooms early, as they are limited. These rooms will be available at this special rate until August 1, 2011.

Registration is free and the symposium is open to all who wish to attend. Please bookmark this page and check back soon for more information on registration, accommodations, and session topics. Registration will begin on May 1st and can be done online through our website. You will also be able to submit abstracts for oral presentations online starting May 1, 2011.

Abstracts must be submitted online through the website by July 15, 2011 to be considered for oral presentations.
